Want to taste test a world champion burger?
Look no further than BGR. The Burger Joint's entry in the World Burger Championships last month took home third place -- and the title of third best burger in the world.
“The World Champion” is a prime dry-aged burger topped with bacon/onion jam, fried egg, cheese and pineapple, according to BGR reps.
BGR's owner, Mark Bucher, cooked the third place burger at the world championships.
This month, BGR is featuring the winning creation as their burger of the month. The burger costs $10.99 at their Columbia location.
BGR, which is baded in Washington D.C., is a franchise of 19 restaurants located throughout the U.S.
The BGR in Columbia is located at 6250 Columbia Crossing Circle.
The event, which took place Nov. 1 through 4 in Las Vegas, was hosted by Travel Channel personality Adam Richman. Competitors faced off in multiple food categories, including the World Barbecue Championship, the World Open Chili Championship, the World Chef Challenge, the World Sandwich Championship, the World Side Dish Championship and the World Recipe Championship, in addition to the World Burger Championship.
