Burning House on Waterloo Road is Training

Howard County fire officials plan to burn down house on Tuesday.

If you see a house engulfed by flames near the Maryland School for the Deaf on Tuesday, it is probably firefighters doing training.

The Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services tweeted from its official Twitter account that it would be burning a Waterloo Road house down on July 10.

Thank goodness this was training. I rode by the screen this morning and the fire seemed to be out of control.

If your house is on fire, do you not want them to come and put it out?! These training exercises are what enabled these brave men and women to be able to save people's houses and lives. When a training opportunity presents itself, they need to take advantage.

This training was essential to our firefighters. The amount of water used was less then. Kemal on a real emergency. The window of opportunity to train in a real environment is. Dry short with these houses as the property owners have time constraints on developing the land and the FD has to work around the weather as the personnel training are on duty as to not incur an overtime expense. Those windows were in line the other day and that is why it occurred when it did.
