Carbon Monoxide Levels Spike at Elkridge Hotel
Holiday Inn Express was evacuated around 4 a.m. Monday.
The on Marshalee Drive was evacuated Monday morning after high levels of carbon monoxide were detected, said Jackie Cutler, spokeswoman for Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services.
Nobody was injured or suffered carbon monoxide poisoning, according to Cutler.
Approximately 50 people were evacuated from the second and third floors of the hotel when crews arrived around 4 a.m., said Cutler.

Carbon monoxide readings returned to normal after crews ventilated the building, said Cutler.
According to preliminary reports, a heater may have caused the problem, said Cutler, who reported that BGE was also on the scene.

In June, the Holiday Inn Express was partially evacuated when police discovered a on the fourth floor.
