Howard County Honors Newtown

This week is "Newtown Observance Week" in Howard County.

Howard County has given the people of Newtown a gift—a dogwood tree from Howard County’s “Blossom’s of Hope” program – which government officials called a “gesture of sympathy and solidarity.”

The tree was delivered to Newtown recently by a Howard County resident – who wishes to remain anonymous – who grew up in Newtown and attended Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Howard County Executive Ken Ulman has proclaimed this week “Newtown Observance Week” in Howard County.

It's Blossoms of Hope, no apostrophe.
