Poll: How Do You Like New Marshalee Traffic Light?
Let us know what you think of the latest addition near Lyndwood Square.
Last Friday, Howard County completed a pedestrian improvement project in Elkridge.
In addition to traffic lights, the intersection by the Lyndwood Square shopping center now has sidewalks and pedestrian signals.
(If you're wondering, those cameras are not going to ticket you; they are merely sensors.)
Tell us what you think about the new light on Marshalee Drive in our poll and/or in the comments.

I am so glad they put up a light. And I noticed they put stop signs at the Costco!

Now if they can only put a light at Duckett's and Route 1 that would be great!!!

Wonderful improvement! I have witessed many near-misses of cars and pedestrians as folks tried to maneuver through that busy intersection.

It was a long time coming. Now I will feel safer pulling in and out of the Giant shopping center. Also speeds should be lower on Marshalee Road so HCPD won't have to have as many speed traps by the Timbers Golf course!

It really helps those making a left out of Giant, but it also really favors them. An adjustment to favor the main road a bit more would be nice, as would some coordination with the Montgomery Road light. I get stuck at both twice a day every day so far and it's extremely frustrating. Nice idea, implementation needs tweaking, but that's to be expected.
