SportClips Under Construction at Elkridge Corners
Barbershop opening in Montgomery Road shopping center in August.
Ladders are set up and plastic sheets laid down as construction crews customize the interior of a vacant store in Elkridge Corners.
SportClips, which specializes in haircuts for men, will be opening Aug. 18, according to a store representative.
The chain barbershop has approximately 25 locations in Maryland and 900 nationwide. Elkridge will be its second business in Howard County; it has another store in Dobbin Center in Columbia.
With the latest addition, the Elkridge Corners shopping center at Montgomery Road and Route 1 boasts a zero-vacancy rate for the first time since November, when Shear Brothers closed in the space where SportClips will be.
