Ulman And Farmer Trade Jobs Tuesday
The county executive will get his hands dirty to increase awareness of the local agricultural community.
Howard County Executive Ken Ulman's hands and shoes will probably look a little dirtier than usual Tuesday when he trades jobs with one local farmer as part of the ninth-annual Farm-City Celebration.
At the same time, Nora Crist, of Clark's Elioak Farm in Ellicott City, will be standing in for Ulman as "County Executive" on Tuesday morning, learning about some of the day-to-day tasks faced by the local government in Ellicott City.
Ulman will help run the beef, swine, sheep, poultry and produce operations at Clark's Elioak Farm, which sells produce and features the Enchanted Forest walking trail.
Ulman and Crist will talk about their experiences at a luncheon at Clark's Elioak Farm and Ulman is expected to announce a new agricultural grant fund, according to a county press release.
The Howard County Farm-City Celebration features numerous events throughout the week, including farmers markets, informational sessions and plenty of family activities meant to "bridge the gap between urban citizens and agriculture," according to the the county' s farm heritage website.

So Ulman is pandering to farmers by taking more of my money for his grant programs. Nothing like staying in power by confiscating my property. Yeah, a real Man of the People.

Ulman needs to concentrate on fixing the crime, trash, and environmental destruction that has resulted from the overdevelopment that he has encouraged on what used to be farmland in eastern Howard County. Perhaps Ms. Crist can work on this during her day in office.
As for grants, is there any disclosure of which farms are getting grants, how much, and how they qualify? If any of my favorite farms are recipients, I will think twice about continued patronage.

While the criminals have their way with Howard County residents, Ken "dirty, filthy" Ulman's facebook page appears to be authored by Unicorns, Pixie Fairies, and Butterflies. This guy is living in the Land of Delusion.

Has anyone told Ulman about the explosion of crime in HoCo so that he can announce an action plan or is he still lunching at the farm?
