Mid-Atlantic German Shepherd Rescue Featured Dog - Bridgette

Hi Everyone, my name is Bridgette. I’m a petite, energetic 4-year old German Shepherd Mix (some call me a pocket or mini shepherd).

I’ve been living at the kennel for a long time now, patiently waiting for my forever family to find me. The Mid-Atlantic German Shepherd Rescue (MAGSR) has been taking good care of me, but I’m longing for a home and family of my own to love and give lots of kisses. I’m a smart girl with a strong personality, so I need a home with an experienced family who will commit to going to training with me.

I like going on long walks, especially if we pass by the creek or baby pool along the way. Then, I jump in, splash around, and chomp at the water. Another fun thing I do on my walks is roll around on the ground until my collar is filled with grass, or leaves, or straw. I hear people say it looks like I’m wearing a lei, just like a Hawaiian princess. I look especially pretty in the Fall when the leaves are so many different colors.

My favorite thing of all is playing ball - any kind of ball. ‘Fetch’ is fun, especially when the ball goes high in the air so I can jump up to catch it. I really like jumping; sometimes I jump as high as I can even when there is no ball to catch. Maybe that is why the volunteers call me their Little Circus Monkey.

I like the Jolly Balls we have in our play areas best of all. I always look for the biggest one, pick it up by the handle, and run around the yard shaking it until I get tired. Then I roll it down the hill to my favorite spot under the big tree and lay down for a rest.  Sometimes a volunteer will play “Find It” with me before I get to play with the balls.  Treats sure do taste better when I have to sniff them out myself!

I’m very athletic and need a lot of physical exercise. I've heard the volunteers say I would excel at competitive sport games like Flyball and Treibball. I would like someone to teach me to play because I know both games involve playing with balls, and you know I Love Balls!

Please see magsr.org to find out more about Bridgette   and submit an adoption application.  MAGSR is dedicated to rehabilitating and providing a second chance to German shepherds and shepherd mixes that have been abandoned, abused, lost, strayed, or surrendered

It would be great if Bridgette found a loving home...
