Hi everyone,

I am a hockey mom and a team manager for my youngest son's hockey team in Laurel.  Both of my sons are members of the Tri-City Eagles team at the Gardens Ice House in Laurel.  The reason that I'm writing is that I have been put in charge of the community service project this year and I was wondering if you would know of where I might be able to start looking in the Howard County area.  My family lives in Elkridge and I get daily emails from the Elkridge Patch and it's very resourceful so I wanted to see if you may be able to point me in the right direction or if you would know of anyone that could.  I really didn't know where to start since our group ages range from 5 to 8 years old and we have 4 teams that would like to participate.  It seems that there are a lot of opportunities out there for kids 12 and older but it's a little more limited for the younger kids that would like to make a difference.  Our team wants to help in anyway that we can and the parents want to let the kids enjoy the experience of helping!  We want to also set values in our kids at an early age that they will carry throughout their lives.  So any ideas or thoughts would be very much appreciated!  Thanks in advance and hope everyone has a great day!!!
