Howard County Film "Feastival"
Clark's Elioak Farm is hosting Howard County's Third Annual Film "Feastival" to kick off Farm2Table Resaurant Week.
As a symbol of the county’s historic agricultural roots, Martha’s family farm, Clark’s Elioak Farm, will serve as the site of Howard County’s third annual Film Feastival to celebrate the local food movement in Howard County.

The event is a joint effort between the University of Maryland Extension, the Agricultural Marketing Program of the Howard County Economic Development Authority, Howard County Tourism & Promotion, and Clark’s Elioak Farm along with media sponsor The Business Monthly newspaper.
Feastival goers have an opportunity to meet and speak with Howard County farmers, restaurateurs, chefs, business owners and agricultural experts to learn about the local resources available to support healthy lifestyles, environmental stewardship and local farms.
The Film Feastival will begin with an array offarm fresh food samples prepared by local restaurants including Aida Bistro & Wine Bar, Eggspectation, the Mango Grove, Bistro Blanc, the Town Grill at Lisbon, Baldwin’s Station, and the Woodstock Inn.
In addition, a Farmer’s Market will feature Howard County farm produce and products for sale including Clark’s Never Sell the Land Farm 100% grass-fed beef, local cheese, honey, fruits, vegetables and preserves.
The feature of the evening will be a screening of a newly released documentary film, “American Meat”. The acclaimed film chronicles America’s grassroots revolution in sustainable meat production and explains our current industrial meat system, not through hidden cameras, but through the eyes of the farmers who live and work there.
The cost for the event is $5; proceeds go toward Famers’ Market coupons redeemable for free fresh fruits and vegetables for Howard County families in need through the WIC program and the Howard County Food Bank. Advance registration is required at www.hceda.org.

Clark's Elioak Farm is a children's playground and petting farm. Dotted with cartoon structures and antique farm equipment, this small but wide open patch of rolling hills will transport you to a different world, one populated by adorable animals that are eager to make friends. Say hello an emu, pet some goats and be pals with a pony. Clark's Elioak Farm raises its own grass-fed beef and is part of the MD state government's Farmland Forever protection program.
