Healthy Living for Families

The Horizon Foundation and Priority Partners are sponsoring a Family Communication Night program aimed at improving the health of families in Howard County.

Designed for parents and their middle school children, the program is presented by the Howard County Library and features Emily Boulin, a bilingual Community Health Advocate employed by Priority Partners, which administers healthcare benefits for eligible pregnant women, children and their families.

“Healthy Living for Families” will include a board overview of nutrition basics, obesity prevention and the benefits of physical activity via an interactive presentation. The session will help families make better food, nutrition and exercise choices.  It will be presented at Elkridge Branch Library on March 27, 7-8:30 p.m., and at East Columbia Branch Library on April 19, from 7-8:30 p.m.
