The Patapsco Heritage Greenway, which works "to preserve, protect and enhance the history, heritage & natural resources of the Patapsco River Valley," is looking for a Student Marketing Intern. The job is volunteer or for class credit. Upon successful completion of 6 months, may lead to paid position up to $10/hour.

The intern will work five - 10 hours per week from September 15 – December 10 and February 1 – May 1. 

The main office is in Elkridge, but of the work can be done from home. 

Job Responsibilities:

• Update current marketing plan

• Assist with PHG’s FACEBOOK & Twitter
• Write weekly e-newsletter of upcoming events (Constant Contact)
• Assist with exhibits and promotion at volunteer events
• Write press releases
• Assist with design/distribution of promotional materials

• Assist with design of promotional items (t-shirts, bumper stickers, hats, etc.)

Required:  

Private transportation, good communication skills and strong writing skills. Excellent knowledge of the Internet, email and FACEBOOK and TWITTER. Intern must have access to a computer with WINDOWS software (WORD, Office Publisher, EXCEL and POWERPOINT), the Internet and phone.  Most of the work can be done from their home, but bi-weekly meetings are required to check on progress.
