Car Show, Outdoor Concert at Rockburn: Weekend Events

Looking for stuff to do in Elkridge this weekend? Look no further.

    When: 7–8:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 17
    Why Go: Listen to blues band Bad Influence during the county's "Concerts in the Park" series. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and get free ice cream while supplies last.

  • Where: Rockburn Branch Park West
    When: 12–4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18
    Why Go: Hotrods of all shapes and sizes will be on display. Entry fees for cars ($10–$15) go to Howard County Recreation and Parks and the Elkridge Adult Athletic Association, according to the Howard County Times.

  • Where:  (6275 Old Washington Rd.)
    When: Sunday, Aug. 19
    Why Go: Check out the band We The Empire while helping raise money for cancer research.
    Pricing: $10
  • Where:  (8267 Main St.) in Ellicott City
    When: 1–4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19
    Why Go: Preservation Howard County with Howard County Tourism and Promotion are sponsoring this event when authors of books about Howard County will sign and sell their work.
