Business Insider shared its pick for "most famous" book set in each state.
Many great writers have authored books featuring local settings throughout Maryland. If you had to choose the most famous book set in the "Free State," what would it be?
The book Dinner at the Homesick Restaurant by Anne Tyler was the pick of Business Insider, which did not explain how its list of "Most Famous Books Set In Every State" was determined.
Tyler wrote many books with stories set in Baltimore. She is also known for The Accidental Tourist, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and made into a movie in 1988.
