'Spectacular' Evening at the Library and More in Howard County this Weekend

Evening in the Stacks

• Where: Howard County Library System Charles E. Miller Branch & Historical Center, 9421 Frederick Rd, Ellicott City
• When:  Saturday, Feb. 23, 7 p.m.
• Description:  Live music provided by Dave Chappell & The Lone Stardusters, dinner and silent auction. There will also be a discussion by award-winning author Mary Doria Russell.

Elkridge Auto Auctions

• Where:  Elkridge Auto Auction, 7281 Washington Blvd, Elkridge
• When:  Saturday, Feb. 23, 11 a.m.
• Description:  All are welcome to bid on automobiles for sale.  Doors open at 9 a.m.        
• Cost: $200 deposit required; money will be put towards any purchase.

Young People's Concert

• Where:  Wilde Lake High School, 5460 Trumpeter Rd, Columbia
• When:  Saturday, Feb. 23, 10:30 a.m.
• Description:  Kids are invited to enjoy musical tales of sea-faring pirates.
• Cost:  $15

Vegetable Gardening Classes - University of Maryland Extension – Howard County

• Where:  3300 N Ridge Rd, Ellicott City
• When:  Saturday, Feb. 23, 10 a.m.
• Description:  Howard County Master Gardeners (MG) will be holding a series of one-hour vegetable gardening classes at the University of Maryland Extension office.

HoCo Blogs Party

• Where:  Union Jack's, 10421 Little Patuxent Parkway, #430, Columbia
• When: Tuesday, Feb. 26, 5 p.m.
• Description:  Second annual meet and greet for HoCoBloggers. Claire Bolden McGill of UK Desperate Housewife, and Bill Woodcock of The 53 are the evening's co-hosts.

Senior Luau with Live Band

• Where:  Alta at Regency Crest Apartment Homes, 3305 Oak West Dr, Ellicott City

• Description:  Afternoon of live music, Hawaiian inspired cuisine, lei making, Zumba classes, open swim in an indoor saltwater pool, door prizes and more.

AUDITIONS: Silhouette Stages' Production - THE FULL MONTY

• Description:  Actors and singers are invited to audition for the Silhouettes Stages’ Production of The Full Monty.
