Webelos Spruce up Elkridge Sign

These scouts did a bit of spring cleaning for the community.

Things were getting a bit overgrown at the northern Elkridge sign, so the Webelos of Cub Scout Pack 432 took to the streets of to clean it up themselves.

During a couple of weeks at the end of May, the third graders cleared up weeds and did some landscaping to beautify the sign welcoming people to Elkridge at Old Washington Road and Route 1, according to Adrienne Hamcke Wicker, whose son is a member of the pack.

Their good deeds didn’t go unnoticed. “When we were doing the work, lots of people honked, waved, and gave us thumbs ups!” Wicker told Patch.
