By Jean Moon
Frisco Taphouse & Brewery is hosting Japan Aid, a benefit for the victims of the earthquake in Japan and the tsunami throughout the Pacific, on Sunday, April 10, from 11:30 a.m. until closing. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the day’s sales will be donated to the American Red Cross for disaster relief.

Families are welcome, and children are encouraged to come and make an origami paper crane to be included in an art installation, a symbolic gift from the students around the globe to Japanese youth. For every crane, $2 will be donated by the Bezos Family Foundation to Architecture for Humanity’s reconstruction efforts in Japan.
Frisco Taphouse & Brewery is noted for its wide selection of micro- and craft-brewed beers, over 50 on tap, and Southwestern-style cuisine. It moved to expanded quarters in November and is located at 6695 Dobbin Road in Columbia. For information, call 410-312-4907 or visit friscogrille.com.
