Se Habla Español at New Ducketts Lane Elementary School
The Elkridge school is setting new patterns for Spanish language instruction.
Ducketts Lane is not just the newest elementary school in the Howard County Public School System; it also marks a new approach to foreign language instruction in the county.
Ducketts Lane will be the first elementary school in the system to offer daily Spanish language instruction to all grade K-2 students, with plans for expansion to grades 3-5 next year, according to HCPSS.
The school, located at 6501 Ducketts Lane, has a capacity for 600 students, drawing from Bellows Spring, Elkridge, Rockburn and Waterloo elementary schools, according to HCPSS.
