Ulman to Speak at Prayer Vigil for Trayvon Martin
Three local organizations are holding the vigil, which is open to the public.
Howard County Executive Ken Ulman is scheduled to speak Monday at a prayer vigil in Columbia for Trayvon Martin.
Martin’s death has become a national issue since the teen was shot and killed by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman on Feb. 26 in Sanford, FL. Zimmerman says he acted in self-defense and has not been charged under Florida’s controversial “Stand Your Ground” law.
In the aftermath of the incident, he was going to revisit Howard County's neighborhood watch programs.
