‘Costcouture’ to Arrive in Elkridge for Brides-to-Be

Discounted designer wedding gowns will be at the Elkridge Costco from Aug. 18 to Aug. 21.

Next week, designer wedding dresses will travel through Elkridge on a national trunk show circuit. The venue? .

The dresses that will transform part of the  Aug. 18 to 21 were designed by Kirstie Kelly.

According to style news site Fashion Etc, Kelly was a designer for the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings collection, inspired by the Disney princesses.

The Kirstie Kelly Signature collection dresses at will range from $699 to $1,399, or 40 percent off their retail value, according to Marketwire.

The L.A. Times reported that Kelly calls the idea “Costcouture.”

In a press release, Kelly said she wants clients to have an experience similar to what they would get in salons; to make it happen, Costco has created three-way mirrors and lounges for families inside the store. In addition, Kelly's staff will be on hand to assist brides with everything from fittings to style selection, according to the release.

"The jewel-box salons within Costco offer brides a personalized experience where they will find the splendor of finding the perfect wedding gown, but at an affordable price,” said Kelly in the release. 

Dresses are only available at Costco during the four-day trunk shows, which started in California in February and will run in different locations nationwide throughout the year.

Offered in sizes 2 to 24, the dresses will be delivered ten days after purchase.

People can schedule appointments online for the trunk show or walk in to the between Aug. 18 and Aug. 21.
