More Slot Machines Arrive at Maryland Live!

The casino at Arundel Mills received approval this week for more than 500 new machines, including electronic table games.

The Maryland Live! casino, which opened in June with more than 3,000 slot machines and electronic table games, continued to expand its offerings this week.

The Maryland Lottery announced Thursday that it tested and approved 531 additional slot machines and electronic table games at the casino located at Arundel Mills in Hanover. Patch previously reported that more than 1,500 machines would be added by the fall.

The new machines were ready for the public to use as of Thursday night, along with a second bar overlooking the Rams Head Center Stage, according to a press release from the Maryland Lottery. The slot machine selection reportedly includes licensed products such as "Wheel of Fortune," "Wizard of Oz" and "Monopoly." Electronic table games include blackjack, roulette, craps, poker and other popular casino games.

Maryland Live! generated more than $28 million in of operation, with each slot machine collecting more than $359 per day in June.
