New Towson Square Restaurants To Be Announced

County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and representatives from commercial real estate development companies responsible for the project will be present for the Tuesday morning announcement.

The first new restaurants coming to the Towson Square will be announced Tuesday morning at the Historic Courthouse.

County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and representatives from The Cordish Company and Heritage Properties—the commercial real estate development companies managing the Towson Square project—are hosting the announcement, which is scheduled for 11 a.m., according to a county news release.

The $85 million entertainment center is scheduled to open in late 2014. So far, the only confirmed tenant is Cinemark Theatres.

An 862-space Baltimore County Revenue Authority garage will be situated near the development, which was initially called Towson Circle III.

retired architect We moved from Parkville 4 years ago, having lived there and enjoyed Towson for 20 some years before. Towson was always a nice, respectable, relatively quiet and decent place to visit, shop, dine, etc. and I suspect it was always pretty much that way, enjoyed and valued by its residents way back in time. But I believe it has already changed somewhat, and not for the good, since we were there. I can't help feeling that this proposed development will be what used to be called, I think, block busting, downgrading which begets more down grading and always with other perhaps not so civic minded buyers or flippers watchfully waiting to pick up the bargains - which will inevitably come - and turn a quick buck. The femalres are circling as we ruminate.

JD, follow your own advice and be "classy". You constantly hurl nasty comments toward David Marks without ever acknowledging the man's good work, from his down-zoning of more than 60 acres in Towson to his work securing money for new roads and schools. You're nothing more than a nasty little troll who hides behind a fake name, JD - or is it CB?
