Severna Park Restaurant Hosting ‘Ava Conklin Day’ for Elkridge Girl

The local restaurant has been raising funds for the Elkridge girl who was diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumor.

The Breakfast Shoppe will host "Ava Conklin Day" on Feb. 9 to honor the Elkridge girl who has been at the center of their recent fundraising.

In October, the Breakfast Shoppe teamed up with up with WBAL-TV meteorologist Tony Pann to create a monster sandwich—the Category 3 Tony Chicken and Waffle 'PANN'wich. Those who attempted to eat the sandwich made donations to Ava, who was recently diagnosed with a life-threatening brain tumor.

At noon on Feb. 9, the Breakfast Shoppe in Severna Park will present Ava’s family with a check. WBAL-TV will be sending a videographer (weather permitting) to film the event.

To help celebrate the day, the Breakfast Shoppe will feature “Ava's Chocolate Chip Pancakes,” her favorite breakfast. Furthermore, Charm City Cakes in Baltimore will be making a cake replica of the monster sandwich.

The public is invited to attend "Ava Conklin Day" and will receive a slice of cake from Charm City.
