Featured Adoptable Pet: Scooby

Scooby hasn't had luck so far when it comes to finding a forever home and someone to love him. He's been waiting so long at the shelter, and there is no good reason, he's the sweetest dog.

My name is Scooby and I haven’t had luck so far when it comes to finding a forever home and someone to love me.  I was found out in the cold, abandoned and tied to a pole with my name taped to my collar.  When I was first rescued I was very scared and felt sad because I no longer had a home and I really didn’t understand why.  But thankfully now I’ve been given a second chance here at the Wayne Animal Shelter to find a loving forever home.

I’m a really friendly guy who always has a big smile to greet you.  I’m energetic and would love to be part of an active family where I can have lots of fun!  I’m very smart and able to learn training commands quickly and really like playing all kinds of games like fetch and tug and love going on long walks.  I have so much love to give and just want to be in a home with someone that wants to play and have a lot of fun like I do!

When I meet you I promise if you just give me a chance you’ll love me, but not as much as I’ll love you for rescuing me from my shelter cage and finally allowing me to feel real love that lasts forever.  That’s all I want from you….

Mark, Thanks so much! Facebook posts can do wonders for adoptions actually. So many people see that too and maybe friends of yours may share it too. Thanks again! This helps more than you know. :) Colleen
