3 Things to Know About Elkridge Today: May 24

Today in Elkridge is hosting its 30-year anniversary celebration. The public is invited on campus at 2:15 p.m. for a tree planting, bench dedication and cookout.

There’s a 50 percent chance of rain today in Elkridge, most likely between noon and midnight, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). Temperatures may go up to 86 degrees during the day and down to 63 degrees in the evening, reported the NWS.

On May 24, 1830, trains on the B & O Railroad were able to take passengers from Baltimore to Ellicott Mills (Ellicott City) for the first time, according to current railroad owner CSX.
