    Supporting people with disabilities is the main objective of the center, which has been operating since 1993. Through various programs, it empowers those with cognitive impairments like autism to live and work in the community independent of an institutional setting.

    The Elkridge Food Pantry provides free food and other essential items for residents who live in Elkridge and surrounding areas (Jessup and Hanover). The average family seeking assistance there contains 3.78 people, and the pantry gets approximately 30 people coming through its doors when it’s open, which is twice a month.

    This service fraternity for women provides scholarships and leadership opportunities. It was founded in 1913 and has been a major supporter of the National Kidney Foundation since 1971, when kidney disease was the biggest concern in women’s health.

  • Rockburn Institute
    6581 Belmont Woods Rd.; Elkridge, MD

    Originally founded by professors from Johns Hopkins University's School of Public Health, this research group maintains an informal relationship with the school. It takes on consulting projects for major organizations and health care providers, conducting research and complex analysis of health systems to pave the way for solutions.
