Air Quality Alert on Sunday

Certain populations should avoid strenuous activity or exercise outdoors, advise officials.

 

With temperatures in the 90s and ozone levels rising, the Maryland Department of the Environment has issued an air quality alert effective Sunday.

The code orange air quality alert means pollution levels may be unhealthy, especially for asthmatics, the elderly and people with heart or lung diseases.
