BGE Reports Power Restored after June 29 Storm

On Sunday, utility company BGE announced it had restored power to all customers who experienced outages a result of last week's storm.

What BGE called "one of the most damaging storms in the company’s nearly 200-year history" resulted in the following:

  • 748,000-plus outages after June 29 storm; restoration complete by July 8
  • 8,900 downed wires reported
  • 1.3 million calls to BGE
  • 5,000 emails to BGE
