Burglar Crawls Through Doggie Door: Crime Roundup

Elkridge

Residential burglary

Someone climbed through a doggie door to enter a garage at a residence in the 6200 block of Summer Home Terrace. Once inside, an axe from the garage was used to break down the interior door. A jewelry box, a fire safe containing jewelry, a rifle and a shotgun were stolen from the residence sometime between 7:45 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on June 26.

Commercial burglary

Someone entered a locked side door at Harmony Builders in the 6000 block of Hunt Club Rd. overnight on June 25 - 26, entered an abandoned garage and stole a generator, lawnmower and chainsaw.

Commercial burglary

A hole was cut through a bay door at Maryland Recycling Company in the 5600 block of Furnace Ave. to gain entry and then someone stole car batteries, copper wire and metal pipes around 3 a.m. on June 25.

Residential burglary

Masonry workers at a home under construction in the 5900 block of Cypress Springs Rd. watched an unknown person exit the residence with copper wire around 2 to 4 p.m. on June 23. The workers did not believe the person worked at the job site.

Columbia

Storage burglary 

Someone removed a television and 25 pairs of retro Michael Jordan shoes from a rental unit at Public Storage in the 7000 block of Old Waterloo Road sometime between May 25 and June 25. A padlock was found still securing the unit, and there were no signs of forced entry.

Commercial burglary

Several tools were stolen from an unlocked storage container at Structural Restoration Services in the 5900 block of Great Star Drive sometime overnight on June 25 - 26.


Ellicott City

Residential burglary

A stainless steel refrigerator and microwave oven were taken from a house under construction in the 4900 block of Owens Court overnight on June 25 - 26.

Jessup

Commercia burglary

Four rims and tires were removed from a stack outside a fenced-in area at Discount Bakes and Mufflers in the 10000 block of Washington Blvd. after someone cut a hole in the fence to the rear lot sometime between June 22 - 24.

Countywide vehicle thefts

A 1998 Honda was reported stolen at the Park & Ride on Snowden River Pkwy at 6 a.m. on June 24.

A 1996 black Honda Accord was reported stolen in the 8900 block of Skyrock Ct. around 7 a.m. on June 25.

A 2002 gold Honda Civic was reported stolen in in the 6500 block of Quiet Hours around 7:30 a.m. on June 25.
