Rockburn Bike Course Opens, O.R.B. Plays Benefit, Watermont Hosts Pool Party

Weekend happenings near Elkridge are charitable, fun.


The first weekend in June is filled with fun activities in greater Elkridge. Whether live music or trail rides are your thing, they're here!

  • When: 10 a.m. on Saturday
    Where: 
    What: Biking organizations and Howard County open multipurpose trail system to the public with an official ceremony.
  • When: 10 a.m.–12 p.m. on Saturday
    Where: Elkridge branch of Howard County Library
    What: The Howard County Master Gardeners will have a table set up so you can ask questions and discuss best practices for your plantings this year.
  • When: 3–7 p.m. on Saturday
    Where:
    What: Live music at the open-air bar. 
  • When: 7 p.m. on Saturday
    Where: 
    What: Admission is $10 to this event, which helps support the recovery of Elkridge Landing Middle School teacher and Howard High School wrestling coach Tim Murdock, who suffered a spinal injury last year. Elkridge's own boy band, O.R.B., will be rocking out.

  • When: 7–10 p.m. on Saturday
    Where: 
    What: It's $5 to attend this end-of-year pool party, which is open to all middle school students and their friends. There will be a DJ, and you don't have to be a member of the pool to attend.
  • Howard County Family Wellness Day
    When: 10 a.m.–3 p.m. on Sunday
    Where: Centennial Park in Ellicott City
    What: Learn CPR, take a ride on horseback or try out Pilates during this wellness fair.
