  • in Elkridge’s made it onto ABC2 News for its “” event to raise money for autism. According to the report, the Elkridge business was one of 150 Pump It Up franchise locations raising funds to support autism research.
  • A new postal branch opened in on Lark Brown Road, reported by the United States Postal Service. The location offers most services that regular post offices do.
  • The president of OBA Bank in Germantown—and former head of Elkridge National Bank—was highlighted by the Washington Business Journal as one many bank leaders nearing retirement who are struggling to find successors.
  • The Carroll County Times spoke with Mike Garzon of Elkridge about his participation in Westminster’s MS Walk over the weekend. Garzon said his sister, who has multiple sclerosis, would have walked alongside him but had a baby that morning, according to the Times article.
  • Elkridge resident and retired Air Force Col. O.P. Ditch was pictured in a march to cut government spending on Capitol Hill, reported by the Associated Press.
  • UMBC softball player Stephanie Weigman received the Pitcher of the Week award from the American East Conference, which includes schools in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. The Elkridge resident is the leader in all-time wins for the university, with 58 wins to her name, according to America East Communications.
