Elkridge Snow Update

This article was updated at 6:05 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), the snow is over for now, but things could get icy.

Last night's storm left approximately 1.4 inches of snow/ice in Howard County, according to unofficial numbers from the NWS.

Saturday's temperatures remain below freezing, according to the NWS, which said the high is 31 degrees and the low is 22 in Elkridge. As a result, areas that were wet will turn to ice.

Officials urged people to slow down on the roads and leave extra following distance.

"Any untreated road or sidewalk will be icy and slippery," said the NWS report. "Even treated surfaces may have a few slick spots."
