Bolster's blood-alcohol level was .20, according to the police report—more than twice the legal driving limit of .08—and he was not wearing a seatbelt.

The owner of the house Bolster hit  since the crash investigation revealed 20 marijuana plants growing in his basement. At his sentencing in August, the homeowner was given 5 years of jail time with 4.5 years suspended; he served six months of home detention.
