Rain isn't letting up, plus meetings you won't want to miss.

FLOODING ISN’T OVER: The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a flash flood warning for parts of central Maryland—including Howard County and specifically Elkridge—until 8:45 a.m. A flash flood watch is in effect until Thursday evening.

STORM DRIVING: As of 6 a.m. Thursday, the only Elkridge road closed was Furnace Avenue at the Anne Arundel County line. The NWS advised that low-lying areas, underpasses and roads near creeks and streams are prone to flooding. 

SCHOOL SITE: The Board of Education will discuss the design plans for a new elementary school in the northeast at its 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. sessions. According to school officials, "design work has centered on the ."

CONSTRUCTION HEARING: Cromwell Builders will go before the Hearing Examiner today at 4:30 p.m. in Ellicott City’s George Howard Building to request a variance to enlarge a garage.
