Goodbye Rain, Hello Heat: Expect sunny skies all this week, and temperatures in the mid-90s -- approaching 100 degrees by Thursday.

Be a good neighbor: Neighbor Ride pairs volunteers with seniors in need of a ride. The organization is hosting an orientation for interested drivers on Tuesday, July 16.

Computer Class: There's free training today in Elkridge for adults looking to advance their careers at 8180 Lark Brown Road. Classes are free for low and moderate income residents. For information, call 410-799-1097. Info on Explore Maryland.

Commuter news: Driving on US Route MD? Expect nighttime flagging and lane closures north of Interstate 70 between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. on weeknights. The work should be complete by the fall.
