Howard County’s Bucket List? Help Us Write It

Where do you go for adventures in your backyard?

Howard County Patch sites have a new project, and we’d like your help.

We’re compiling a “bucket list” of things you must do if you are living in, visiting, or just about to move away from Howard County.

Get daily and breaking news email updates from Elkridge Patch by signing up for newsletters here.

We figured this was timely since Howard County has recently been tooting its horn as a good tourism destination.

If you're not from here, we're talking about the locale between Washington, D.C., and Baltimore that has , the in Columbia and the , a former textile mill that is now a gathering place of shops, restaurants and cafes.

But on the less obvious side, we’d put at Columbia’s Long Reach Village Center on any Howard County bucket list, as we would

Each Monday, we’ll publish a video profile of one of the places on the Howard County bucket list. You can find all of our “Bucket List” content here.

We’ll be searching through local resources, such as the HowChow blog, which covers food in Howard County, as well as the Howard County Tourism organization, for bucket list suggestions, but we need your help.

Please post below what items you think should be on any Howard County Bucket List. If you are out, and find something in a little-known corner of Howard County, snap a picture, send it to me (lisa.rossi@patch.com) or tweet about it under the hashtag #Hocobucketlist.

What's your favorite attraction? Post any and all suggestions below.
