The National Weather Service issued an advisory at 11:41 p.m.

A thunderstorm is moving through Howard and Anne Arundel Counties that is producing cloud-to-ground lightning, said the National Weather Service (NWS).

“Move indoors immediately for your safety,” the NWS said in a statement issued at 11:41 p.m. Thursday.

Heavy rain could accompany the storm as well as winds of at least 50 mph, according to the NWS, which advised residents to remain inside until the storm passes.
