Update: 6 p.m.:
Howard County Striders President Bill Arbelaez sent the following email update to Patch:
To the best of my knowledge, The Striders had possibly more than twenty runners up in Boston today, plus many additional family members. I personally know of 11 or 12 friends who had either finished, or were still on the course, and all have checked in and are safe. Others who ran have not touched base yet, but I'm presuming the best.
Have you heard from Liz Haws or anyone who ran in the marathon? Let us know in the comments.
