Route 1 is clear of all branches and debris. However, the sidewalk past the library is blocked, so use caution. (Note: The library is closed today.)
I drove all of Montgomery Road and repeatedly saw the same thing: a few branches of various sizes littering the sides of the road. Older trees seemed to take the biggest hits from Irene.
Road crews were out in force keeping the roads clear.
Overall, it seems like a typical Sunday morning, though—even was crowded.
Travel safe out there.
Editor's note: With windy conditions persisting, County Executive Ken Ulman has asked people to limit non-essential travel as of 10 a.m.
