Things to Know About Elkridge Today: July 21

There’s a heat advisory in effect from 8 a.m. Thursday to 8 p.m. Friday, issued by the National Weather Service (NWS). Thursday's temperatures will feel like 106 degrees in Elkridge, according to the NWS, but it will actually be approximately 99 degrees. Heat will be worst in the late afternoon and early evening, advised the NWS. 

Need to cool off? The Howard County Health Department recommends visiting the nearest (10 a.m. to 9 p.m.) or (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.), both of which are air-conditioned. For heat-related assistance, contact Maryland Access Point at 410-313-5980.
