Things to Know About Elkridge Today: July 25

Head into the day a little more informed.

Today is the first day of Howard County’s Restaurant Weeks (July 25 to Aug. 8). Various restaurants will feature menus from $10.11 to $40.11 with dishes incorporating locally produced fare. Tonight County Executive Ken Ulman will hold a public forum, in which he invites residents to let the county know what’s on their minds. The event will be at 7 p.m. in the North Laurel Community Center (9411 Whiskey Bottom Rd. in Laurel). If you’d like to testify, sign-ups begin at 6:30 p.m. Each person will have two minutes to ask questions, voice concerns or make suggestions to the county’s elected officials.

Today's high is 92 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Evening temps will be approximately 70 degrees. Thunderstorms are likely after 1 p.m., said the report.
