Things to Know About Elkridge Today: July 8

Get ready to get wet. According to the National Weather Service (NWS), there’s an 80 percent chance of rain today in Elkridge, and there could be Friday afternoon into the evening.

On this day in 2005, there was a flood of sorts in Elkridge. Approximately 60,000 gallons of sewage spilled out of a sewer line on Furnace Avenue near the Patapsco River, according to the Baltimore Sun.

Today's thunderstorms will come along with a “weak cold front,” reported the NWS, which forecast a daytime high of 85 degrees and evening temperatures in the upper 60s.
