Things to Know About Elkridge Today: June 14

Head into the day a little more informed.

If you're northeast of BWI and don’t hear too many red-eyes going by, be advised: The airport is testing a runway that it rarely uses and will be doing so after 10 p.m. tonight, according to the Baltimore Sun.

The National Weather Service is forecasting temperatures as high as 76 during the day and as low as 57 degrees at night in Elkridge. There's also a slight chance of isolated showers before 9 p.m. 

Today is Flag Day. On this day in 1777, the Continental Congress officially authorized the starred-striped design. Interested in learning more? There’s a Flag Day program at Fort McHenry (2400 E. Fort Ave.) in Baltimore at 7 p.m., complete with a parade of flags from all 50 states and fireworks.
