Tornado, Flash Flood Watch Monday in Howard County
The NWS says 'heavy rain' will continue.
A flash flood watch is in effect for Howard County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS), as rain continues to douse the area.
According to the NWS forecast discussion, some areas will see more than 2 inches of rain today.

With the amount of rain we’ve seen over the past few days, the ground is saturated, according to NWS and it won’t take much rain to produce flash flooding in streams and other low-lying, flood-prone areas.
The flood watch is in effect until midnight, because according to NWS, the threat of “heavy rain” will continue well into the evening.

At 2 p.m., NWS also issued a tornado watch, in effect until 10 p.m. for much of the state, including Howard County
A "watch" means conditions are ripe for flash flooding and tornadoes, though neigther have been reported.
