Weekend Weather from Howard County to Eastern Shore

Those who are beach-bound should consider taking a sweater and maybe an umbrella.


Headed to the beach this weekend? 

Three nearby beaches may be warm by daylight, but the evenings will remind you it's not summer yet.  

Temperatures in Ocean City are expected to hover around the low 80s this weekend, peaking at 83 on Saturday with clear, sunny skies, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Temperatures will drop to the high 60s at night.

Things are looking more summery at Rehoboth Beach, in Delaware, where temperatures are expected to reach 81 degrees on Friday, and go up to the mid-80s Saturday and Sunday, according to NWS.

You may want to pack a bathing suit and an umbrella, though, as there should be partly cloudy skies and a chance of rain and thunderstorm activity this weekend, too. Temperatures will drop to the low-to-mid 60s at night.

If want to break a sweat this weekend, head down to Virginia Beach, where temperatures will start off in the low 80s Friday and climb to nearly 90 degrees, according to NWS, with sunny skies.

Staying close to home?

If you stick around Howard County, you won’t be missing anything but the ocean. Temperatures will hover in the mid-80s all weekend, climbing to 87 by Sunday, according to NWS.

Expect sunny skies all day and partly cloudy skies at night. Temperatures should drop to the high 50s Friday night and mid 60s on Saturday and Sunday.
