You Said It: Are Gas Prices Cramping Your Lifestyle? (VIDEO)

For some, it means a staycation.

Jen Apinis is mostly weathering the storm of high gas prices in Maryland. They don't stop her from driving and haven't really altered her vacation plans, she said.

But that doesn't mean she was thrilled about paying more than $65 to fill up her SUV at the Apex gas station on East Drive in Arbutus, MD. One of the less expensive stations in the area, it has been selling gasoline at $3.77 a gallon.

"That hurts," she said as she glanced at the pump's screen before getting back in her vehicle and driving away.

Though —about 11 cents per gallon in some areas in the last week—gas is still nearly $1 per gallon more than this time last year, according to AAA.

Patch asked folks in the community if the gas prices have changed their lifestyles at all. The answers varied.
