Elkridge Heritage Society: Meeting on "Genealogy and Historical Research"

Come to the next general meeting of the Elkridge Heritage Society and learn about Genealogy and Historical Research!

Mark your calendars to attend the Elkridge Heritage Society's next general meeting. Everyone is welcome! Our speakers are Phil Lord and Karen Marks. Karen Marks is doing her own family genealogy and is very conversant with many resources. Phil Lord will talk about other free and fee Internet resources for local and business history. This should be a very interesting and informative meeting.

IMPORTANT! Note that there has been a change in venue for this meeting since our last blog post. We are holding the meeting at the Elkridge Senior Center in the Elkridge Library. (Go in the main entrance of the library and look for the Senior Center on the right.)

Our new website (www.elkridgeheritage.org) has had several visitors already, mostly by people interested in finding out about the resources we have for genealogical searches. This meeting should be very interesting for those of you with these sorts of questions. We have some files that contain historical articles regarding early Elkridge families, but we are still trying to organize our collection. We hope to get a lot of links to our collection on line, but this will probably take years. You can email our curator, Mary Bahr, at curator@elkridgeheritage.org to see if she can help you in your discovery process. Better yet, come meet Mary at our meetings!
