Race for a Cause

AUTOBAHN INDOOR SPEEDWAY HOSTS ‘RACE FOR A CAUSE’

Racers take to the track in Jessup, Maryland to win on behalf of the their favorite non-profits 

Autobahn Indoor Speedway, Maryland’s premier indoor go-karting facility, will host Race for a Cause, on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., benefiting four local nonprofit organizations.

Autobahn Indoor Speedway will donate 50% of the total revenues to the designated organizations with donation allocations placed in the hands of the race winners.  Throughout the event, the winner of each race will select which charity they would like to benefit by placing their winning “checkered flag” on their chosen nonprofit’s standings board.  Come out to win a race for your favorite non-profit!

  • Baltimore Animal Rescues and Care Shelter (BARCS)- Helps unwanted, abused and neglected animals find loving homes.
  • Brigance Brigade Foundation- Equips, encourages and empowers people living with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) in an effort to improve the quality of life for patients and their families.
  • Casey Cares Foundation- Provides ongoing, uplifting programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families in the Mid-Atlantic region.
  • Special Olympics Maryland- Offers year-round sports training and competition programs for Maryland's children and adults with intellectual disabilities. 

Autobahn’s European style go-karting takes place in unique, high speed electric Italian pro-karts in a 70,000 square feet state-of-the-art facility.  The F1 inspired karts reach speeds of up to 50 mph.  Autobahn features two Grand Prix style tracks for two completely different racing experiences and up to 16 racers out on the tracks at once.  Each race is $19.99 per race per person.  Food and drinks will be offered.
