Elkridge Boy Makes News for 11th Birthday

For one Elkridge boy’s birthday, he got a spot on local TV news. 

Seth Michael Vint was featured on WBAL-TV on Friday for his 11th birthday, which happened to be on 11/11/11. 

His mother, Katherine Vint-Martin, said she sent an email in July to WBAL about the big day.

“I have been planning this for quite a while!!” Vint-Martin wrote in an email to Elkridge Patch. 

She's not the only one; in April 2010, someone started a Facebook page to plan a worldwide celebration of 11/11/11 for those born on Nov. 11. 

The birthday boy from Elkridge told WBAL that he had been excited about this particular celebration since he was a kindergartner. 

Now in fifth grade at , Vint is a Junior firefighter, is in the school musical, plays Hurricanes football, loves skateboarding and cheers for the Ravens, according to an email from his mother.

To celebrate his 11th birthday, the family told WBAL they were going out to dinner followed by a shopping spree at Toys "R" Us.
