Am I Losing It? Or Are We Having a Mental Meltdown in Washington?

Iran won't return our little ole drone!! Couldn't we just push a little ole button and brow the little ole drone to bits??

Latest words in the news…..Foreign relations between the United States and Iran MORE STRAINED (huh??)…..Administration of Barack Obama asks the Iranians to return an unmanned surveillance Drone downed in the region and they don't wanna do it, nanny, nanny, boo, boo!!. Huh??  Wow!  What??  I am so, so disappointed that the kindly government of Iran is actually refusing to return our Drone.  How can this be, just when we were making headway in convincing their government leaders to stop any future preparation for nuclear weapons?  Woe is me!!!

But, then of course we would never, ever, ever insinuate that Iran is or ever could be slightly unfriendly, right?  And, of course we would never, ever, ever dream of blowing the drone to kingdom come with a big, big bass drum, would we???  Nahhhh, let us just sit calmly and pray that the little darlings don’t take the technology and immediately begin building many, many drones of their own.  Nahhhh, that would never happen. Why would they?  For what use would they need them??   Besides, it would not be politically correct to even suggest such a bad, bad thing, would it my darlings???

Then, again, Iran has never, ever, ever declared that they are an enemy of the U.S.?  Duhhh – I don’t know how many ways do we wish them to declare it so and in how many languages?  Certain folks in the White House and even in Congress seem to be a little relaxed that right now it is only Israel that Iranian angels want to wipe off the face of the map.  Israel has for so long taken the brunt of discontent in the region, keeping it at arms length from our shores…couldn’t possibly come to our shores could it?  However, just to be a little in the know…let’s just raise a huge red flag boys and girls of the U.S.A….ok, ok, just in case?  Now, don’t get in a tizzy.

Anyway, please permit  me to get right to my immediate and  huge concern…..why, why don’t our drone weapons have an instant “self destruct” mechanism attached?  So very simple, so old school...or would this be too, too politically incorrect?

And there, my darlings is the rub and red flag…know your enemy, don’t pretend he/she is your friend….be prepared for the worst and if only good cheer comes well we can accept that with open arms…welllllll, lets not go overboard, honey child!!!  Bottom line in the meantime…whenever we can’t keep the drone flying, blow the little sucker and all the little suckers climbing all over it to bits!!  Yes, yes, I know, I know, I am so, so hard core!! Just don't want to have to meet a whole bunch of Iranian "drones" in the future, ya know???  Whew…enough to make you sweat!!!

This has all the markings of a CIA plant. That drone was landed, it didn't crash. You KNOW they have destruct modes, as a matter of fact, self-destruct is probably the failsafe. This was meant to be captured and analyzed.

Oh good grief! I was l so looking forward to hearing from you regarding the "drone" issue.. As for me, your opinions will be missed, honey child. Merry Christmas and Best Wishes for a Healthy, Happy and Peaceful New Year.

Well Walt, if only that were true. Ahhh - that would be an answer I could accept.....except, I just don't recall information that refers to "landing." But, then of course that would also be a heads up for the Iranian government......lands? In our back yard? Mmmmmmm. Seems easier to just use false espionage information letting it "trickle" their way...a game that seems to be played now and then. Who knows...

Drones don't have a self destruct mechanism and if we fired a missile at a foreign country it would be declared an Act of War. Refresh my memory, How many Israeli soldiers were killed in Iraq and/or Afghanistan?

And so---first lesson is: Drones henceforth shall have "self destruct" mechanisms on each and everyone!!! Good point about "act of war" so then, as they say back in the hills...."..there are many ways to skin a cat" and bounce around the little ole "act of war" scenario, post haste!!! Now as to your apparent thought regarding Israel....am I wrong to interpret your remark to possibly mean you are of the school that feels Israel has NOT played an enormous role in keeping that particular part of the world from going bananasville helping to assure that our little ole hides stay nice and warm all winter, ships sail, planes fly, etc. etc. etc.?? And, I might add, has done so courageously for many more years than the Iraq and Afghanistan wars have been in place. Do you really, really think that these two wars were the beginning and that they are the end all? Depending upon your age, you may live to see a nightmare down the road you never, ever dreamed of and more in our back yard than you ever could imagine making their little ole way across the oceans through Venezuela up through Central America and Mexico to our wonderful country with some folks in Washington not objecting, but actually give a nod. Just the perception of a retired worker bee, of course.
